BREW THAT’S TRUE

Rich & Full, Dark & Strong or Smooth & Mellow are some of the different roasts and flavours that are now available in freshly roasted beans or ready ground from Heartland Brew Coffee. Based in Christchurch, the Heartland team have really done their homework when it comes to range and style, taste and texture. I ground and made espresso from five of their roast range, making sure I tasted properly, using the ‘cupping’ method. My favourite was called Wild River – their intense and lively roast has flavours of dark chocolate, brazil nut, apricot and five spice. Plenty of coffee flavour and not too strong, toasty and flavourful. heartlandbrew.co.nz
