MEET YOU AT THE BISTROTHEQUE
The Strand, a 99-year-old pub in Sydney’s Darlinghurst, is being transformed into a four-level dining and hotel precinct, with a modern Frenchinspired bistro, boutique hotel and rooftop bar. Boasting a “modern laidback interpretation of French cuisine”, the restaurant will star sophisticated dishes like duck breast served with plum, radicchio and jus, served alongside more casual fare like Sydney rock oysters. The rooftop bar will feature lush greenery, cocktails and DJs, while The Strand Hotel will be a boutique space with 17 rooms and nods to the building’s heritage. “We want to offer something that leans on the charm, history and character of the building and neighbourhood right on the fringe of Sydney’s bustling city, while creating something new and fresh for locals and travellers,” says Public Hospitality Executive Director, Peter Crinis. “We are looking forward to welcoming guests to experience something truly boutique for a more intimate experience of Sydney.”
