Award-winning Hamilton bakery Volare Bread has partnered with Raglan baker, Lucy Donaldson, on a new range of artisan gluten-free breads. An ex-theatre nurse and mum of three, Donaldson’s passion is creating delicious breads that are gluten-free. “When I decided to cut gluten for health reasons, I started experiment­ing with baking at home. I got to a point where I thought my bread tasted better than anything I could find at the store, which is when I approached Volare,” she says. Lucy’s Gluten Free is available in three loaves – white, seeded and sourdough – in Volare stores with delivery in the Waikato, Auckland and Tauranga regions. breadbox.co.nz
