STUDIO TERRE

Nino & Jufà

-

Visitors to Studio Terre’s Milan presentation were invited to awaken their senses with a collection of tactile, visual, aural and even taste sensations, centred on the concept of wellbeing. Eva Noemi Marchetti (aka Nino) and Francesca Guarnone (aka Jufà), are the young artists behind Studio Terre, an experimental art studio that specialises in creating functional art and unique spaces. Their immersive installation in the Salone del Mobile’s off-site event, Alcova, was held at a crumbling abandoned nunnery and military hospital. Titled Come, Stay, Taste, it was a collaboration with Italian metal design studio Mingardo, displaying a curtain made from terracotta powder and Murano glass beads. “We are very similar, we follow instinctive paths on which we develop narrative dramaturgy,” says the creative pair. Using sustainable materials and techniques, wellness is a central part of their practice, creating spaces and pieces that foster wellbeing for both people and the environment.
