When Carrie Bradshaw follows Aleksandr Petrovsky to Paris in SATC’s sixth season, viewers are treated to lavish scenes of the Hotel Plaza Athénée, Dior boutique and Jeu de Paume Museum. It’s on the Pont des Arts where Big declares, “Carrie, you’re the one.”

Live Like Amélie

The Montmartre neighbourhood is where Amélie lives in the 2001 film about a lonely woman who wants to make life sweeter for those around her. Dozens of the city’s locations are featured, including the Latin Quarter and the Moulin Rouge.
