WHO WE ARE

Dané Erwee and his partner Chris Willemse of OKASIE live with their Great Dane, Tiny in Johannesdal just outside Stellenbosch in South Africa’s Western Cape province. Their home garden is more like a flower farm; it’s the place where the armfuls of David Austin roses, long-stemmed hydrangea blooms, and crab-apple and plum-blossom branches that are needed for their work grow. While this means they don’t really have their own domestic garden as such, Dané has of course always been interested in home gardens generally, and regularly designs these for his landscaping clients.
