TAKING NZ TO TOKYO
Two Japanese-Kiwi hospitality entrepreneurs have brought a taste of New Zealand to Tokyo, with the opening of a new riverfront cafe. Situated in a converted warehouse overlooking the Sumida River, iki Roastery & Eatery is the brainchild of Kim and Teru Harase, and was inspired by a 40-day road trip the couple took around Aotearoa. The space houses a state-of-the-art coffee roastery, coffee bar, relaxed dining space and even their own Kiwi-style bakery with classic meat pies.
