Miss FQ - - Profile -

What do you do? Most of my day involves being a needle ninja. My main focus is Botox, and PRP [platelet-rich plasma] treatments such as the vampire facial made famous by Kim Kardashian. What are your favourite aspects of your role? There are so many treatments at The Face Place that are more than just cosmetic. I became a nurse to make a difference, and I know that I’m doing that here. Any career advice? Don’t be disheartened by hearing “No”. This is a niche industry, and getting your foot in the door can be a challenge. Approach a cosmedicine clinic and ask if you can observe some treatments. Make your passion, eagerness to learn and excitement apparent; it worked for me! How do you get ahead in your line of work? Nursing is all about therapeutic relationships with your clients. We discuss such personal things and you meet people in their most vulnerable moments. Being unbiased, non-judgmental, truthful and transparent is crucial.
