Skoda and Volk­swa­gen launch apps

The brand new Skoda ser­vice app is now avail­able to down­load for smart­phones now. It has been de­signed to as­sist with all Skoda ser­vic­ing and main­te­nance re­quire­ments while on the road.

In the all new app in­for­ma­tion and fea­tures are con­tained within three main cat­e­gories:

My Dealer. Gives you the op­tion to choose your lo­cal deal­er­ship so you can con­tact them in a few easy clicks. It is also pos­si­ble to view the open­ing hours and ser­vices of­fered at each lo­ca­tions

As­sis­tance. If you are in need of as­sis­tance, this fea­ture will help you con­tact SKODA As­sis­tance and find a ser­vice cen­tre nearby that will get you back on the road as quickly as pos­si­ble.

My Car. In­for­ma­tion about your car can be found here, in­clud­ing a dig­i­tal ve­hi­cle hand­book, dash­board warn­ing light ex­pla­na­tion and cur­rent model range fea­tures.

Skoda says it is the first au­to­mo­tive brand in New Zealand to pro­vide cus­tomers with na­tion­wide ac­cess to their near­est deal­er­ship, re­sult­ing in around the clock ac­cess to ve­hi­cle ser­vic­ing and main­te­nance in­for­ma­tion.

The Skoda ser­vice app can be down­loaded from the iTunes Ap­pS­tore and An­droid Mar­ket­place, or sim­ply drop in to any Skoda deal­er­ship and it will be done there.

Mean­while sib­ling brand Volk­swa­gen New Zealand has re­leased what it says is the most com­pre­hen­sive au­to­mo­tive ser­vice app avail­able on the mar­ket; of­fer­ing Kiwi driv­ers an in­no­va­tive way to im­prove their driv­ing ex­pe­ri­ence.

The Volk­swa­gen ser­vice app’s ex­ten­sive range of fea­tures in­cludes:

Park­ing. Park­ing space timer and lo­ca­tion re­minder, to avoid tick­ets.

Road­side as­sis­tance. Con­tact Volk­swa­gen As­sis­tance and record all ac­ci­dent de­tails.

On the Road. Record your re­cent road trips and trans­late all for­eign lan­guages

Ser­vice. Lo­cate the near­est dealer and the ser­vices they of­fer.

Tips and of­fers. Exclusive of­fers to App users for both pas­sen­ger and commercial.

Sym­bols. Dash­board sym­bol dic­tio­nary. My Car. Record your ve­hi­cle de­tails for easy upload if in an ac­ci­den. “We’ve launched this app to help sup­port Volk­swa­gen’s rapid growth and as part of our com­mit­ment to Kiwi driv­ers,” says Volk­swa­gen New Zealand gen­eral man­ager Tom Rud­den­klau. “Fea­tures such as the Road­side As­sis­tance ac­ci­dent re­port will make a real dif­fer­ence to our driv­ers – help­ing them record all de­tails at time of an ac­ci­dent and then send­ing these di­rectly to their in­box to be shared with their in­sur­ance com­pany.”
