Calibration offers protection

-

You can protect your business by using quality calibrated equipment says calibration specialist HTC.

Because HTC operate in this area throughout New Zealand, the consequences of businesses working with out-of-calibration torque wrenches comes to its attention regularly.

HTC has come across the instances where vehicles have lost a wheel, often with disastrous results, and incorrect torque applied when reassembling machinery is a common cause of expensive warranty claims.

Using a cheaply manufactured torque wrench can be a dangerous option when considering the health and safety factors and the potential financial cost says HTC.

From bolting windmills together, to tightening the wheel nuts on cars, HTC says it has the equipment and experience to provide the equipment needed by the automotive industry, through sale or hire.

Get peace of mind with factory backed calibration. HTC provides a free calibration with every new torque wrench sold so that its customers receive a guaranteed calibration straight out of the box.

When an in-service torque wrench is calibrated by HTC, that tool is immediately logged into its database, so if required, customers can prove that it was calibrated within the required time frame.

HTC customers will also receive a calibration reminder every six to 12 months, depending on how often the equipment requires calibration.

If, for some reason a customer can›t get to HTC, that’s not a problem. It will send a loan wrench to be used at no charge while it calibrates or repairs the customers wrench.

Or if it’s just too much hassle, HTC will come to the workplace and calibrate your wrenches on site as well as offering a range of products from its mobile service van.

HTC also carry out crimp tool testing, jack and ram testing as well as tension tools, hydraulic pump servicing and hose testing. HTC says it specialises in making the hard jobs easy.
