Best Bars accessories go black

- READER REPLY 0140830

Black is where it’s at for popular stainless steel accessories supplied for ute and SUV owners by Best Bars.

Until now, accessories such as nudge bars, side steps, sports bars and cab protectors, have mostly been brightly polished, but there is a noticeable trend towards having them painted black.

“We’ve seen an increase in demand for black powder-coated accessories from our customers in recent times, and we have increased the range of product on offer in order to meet it,” says John Frear, general manager of sales and marketing for Best Bars Limited.

“The growing popularity of utes and SUVs has seen an increase in the number of owners wishing to personalise their vehicles, so they stand out from the crowd.

“Nudge bars, sports bars and other accessory bars have always been popular as both functional and aesthetic additions, but we are definitely seeing a trend for more drivers looking to further customise them with a powder-coated finish, as an alternative to our highly polished stainless steel.”

Black has certainly been the most frequently requested colour, but John Frear says Best Bars is keeping an open mind towards other colours in both gloss and matt finishes, and will look to canvass customers to see if demand will spread beyond the black option. The powder coating is applied over the stainless steel substrate, thereby ensuring the products retain the durability that comes with using such high quality materials.

Best Bars has been flat-out designing new accessories to match the boom in new ute and SUV models that have been launched in New Zealand in the last 18 months. It now has one of the largest ranges on the market, covering most of the latest ute models available in New Zealand.

Crucially, all accessories supplied by Best Bars are designed and made to the highest quality and safety specifications. With such attention to detail and adherence to high standards, Best Bars accessories are approved by the majority new vehicle distributors in New Zealand as part of their genuine or approved accessory range.

“Many people who purchase a vehicle and then have the dealer dress it up are, in all likelihood, buying Best Bars products, so it is important that they are satisfied with both the appearance and the functionality,” adds John Frear.

The range of Best Bars accessories can be viewed on the recently upgraded www.bestbars.co.nz website, or by calling the team on 0800 BEST BARS.
