Bosch Service Excellence graduates announced

Eight Bosch Car Service workshop owners are among the first group of Bosch graduates worldwide to receive the Bosch Service Excellence honour of completion.

Available to the Bosch Car Service and Bosch Diesel networks, the Bosch Service Excellence business support programme is designed to provide business owners with the right knowledge and skills to improve their workshop performanc­e and efficiency for a successful future.

Sue Constable, Bosch Service Excellence facilitato­r, says ongoing business training and support for workshops is essential as the automotive industry evolves and changes.

“The Bosch Service Excellence programme provides individual­s with the opportunit­y to empower themselves with the right knowledge to make their business the very best it can be.”

Graduates were officially acknowledg­ed for the completion of the 11 modules in the programme at the 2014 Bosch Services Network Convention held in Cairns.

“It has taken some of these graduates up to three years to complete the programme, and we are extremely proud of their commitment and hard work, particular­ly in conjunctio­n with running their own business,” she says.

As part of the programme, business mentoring includes modules on customer satisfacti­on, staff motivation, effective marketing, effective sales, workshop processes and continuous improvemen­t.

Graduate Mike Burns, from Turangi Auto Centre, says that the Bosch Service Excellence programme has been invaluable to the future operation of his business.

“The programme opened up my mind and provided me with news ways of thinking, particular­ly in relation to how I should manage my staff and feedback from customers; as well as the general smooth running of the business,” says Mike.
