Identity change reflects DLG direction

-

The new name is DLG International. That’s the news from Grant Eveleigh, and the name change – from Digital Logistics Group Ltd – is because it better reflects the direction the company is going in, not just as one of New Zealand’s leading suppliers of car audio and mobile security products, but also into the fields of consumer electronics and home/commercial security products.

The company was founded 17 years ago with a vision and corporate statement “Bringing Technology To You”, and a focus on the automotive electronics and accessories market.

“However, we have changed as time has gone by, and the products we do now are different to what we did in the beginning,” said Grant.

“Changing the name gets us get away from being isolated in any one part of the market.”

He said the company’s goal remains firmly focused on sourcing the best possible products and brands available for the markets DLG International covers. “We are constantly looking at evolving markets and technologies to support our loyal customer base,” he added.

Once the company’s position in the New Zealand market had been firmly established, Grant said it became apparent that some suppliers and manufacturers wanted representation in Australia as well as in New Zealand, and a sister company was established there in 2005 to serve the Australian market.

“Covering both New Zealand and Australia is now a reality through both companies, and we welcome partnerships to distribute applicable products and services to complement our current client base and future expansion,” he said.

With the new name has also come a new corporate statement, “Bringing World Leading Brands to You”. “This confirms our commitment to representing world-leading brands, and servicing our customers’ daily requirements to the best of our ability”.

DLG International now exclusively represents many market-leading brands such as Parrot, Philips Car Audio, Nakamichi Car Audio, Bazooka, Metra Electronics, Connects 2, Raptor Car Audio, AutoView, DLG Mobile Media Solutions, T-Spec Car Audio, Cobra Electronics, Kram Telecom, Dynamat, Whistler, Replay XD, AEE Technologies, Hangman Products, Toughtested, lbolt, Carcomm, Ethereal Home Theatre, Audio Solutions, Flitz Polishes, and Shelby Car Care to name just a few.

“We specialise in the integration of mobile products, and have been successful in bringing the most costeffective double din branded product which includes Bluetooth and steering wheel controls, for $799, while opposition products are still being sold in the $1,500 to $1,600 bracket,” said Grant.
