New functions for Launch Pad II

Motor Equipment News - - NEWS -

After the successful market release of the Launch X431 Pad II and the 24V truck package. Launch has added various new functions free for all existing and new Launch Pad II users.

Launch has now included the following automatic reset functions on the Pad II: service reset, brake pad rese, steering Angle Reset, DPF burnoff reset. •Throttle Relearn Reset, battery Reset, brake bleeding.

These functions allow you to automatically carry out common service functions without the time- consuming and sometimes hard-tofind functions in the manufacturer’s software, and this will save you time and money.

Launch has now added Audi /VW/ Skoda channel codes, and wide coverage of service procedures such as throttle relearn, and airbag module replacement. Included is a huge database of model specific information.

Today the automotive aftermarket has to compete with the OEM on-board telematics systems that permit remote diagnostics and provide “vehicle health reports.”

There are many systems under development, and one of the first to come to market is Launch‘s Golo, which features a real-time remote diagnostic device that connects to the OBD II connector on the customer’s car.

The device, which includes both generic and OE-enhanced OBD, transmits data via Bluetooth to the driver’s Android or Apple Smartphone, and the information goes over the cell network to the newly-introduced Launch Pad II.

How will Golo be marketed? There are several possible applications. One is when a Check Engine light comes on, the Launch Golo alerts the shop via the driver’s Smartphone, providing a vehicle health report with live data.

If required, the system enables the shop to remotely turn off the Check Engine light and clear codes. Or, with a continuous connection, the shop can alert customers to urgent preventive maintenance, indicate needs for repair, or service.

The idea is to give the independent automotive workshop – from a remote diagnostic/service perspective – an OnStar-like connection to its customers.

Launch’s Golo NZ version will be available soon. Upgrade your scanning capabilities with the amazing X431 Pad II, and be one of the first in the country to also offer your customers the ultimate peace of mind!

With the Golo your customers are connected to your workshop and offer a level of customer service which will be hard to beat.

Warning: Do not buy cheap copy or fake launch scanners online, The Pad II and the Golo system will only work with our NZ genuine Launchcompatible equipment.
