Cataclean engine cleaner for NZ
Liverpool-based engine care specialist Cataclean has sent its first shipment of products to Australia and New Zealand after unleashing an ambitious exports campaign.
The UK manufacturer is supplying product to its exclusive distributor Cataclean Australia, based in Southport, Queensland.
Graham Fraser, corporate development director at Cataclean, said the territory holds good potential due to demand for greater fuel efficiency. In addition, there is increased public awareness of automotive regulations on emissions.
Cataclean produces patented fuel and exhaust system cleaning products developed and manufactured in the UK. The treatments work in petrol, diesel and hybrid cars, and are verified by independent tests. The car range features Liquid Science, DPF and Export (for non-European Markets).
Cataclean is a “Pour & Go” product added directly to the fuel tank of petrol, diesel or hybrid vehicles. It has three main benefits: it can reduce engine emissions by up to 60 pc, improve performance and cut fuel consumption.
“The recent development in Australasia is part of Cataclean’s broader export strategy and follows similar models in the, Europe, the Middle East and Africa,” said Graham.
“We believe Cataclean’s ability to improve engine running, cut fuel consumption and tackle emissions will attract strong interest. Other key selling points are Cataclean’s ability to help prevent expensive repair bills for replacement catalytic converters and DPFs.
“These filters were introduced to help cut carbon emissions but DPFs can fail to work properly and ‘regenerate’ if vehicles are not driven regularly at higher speed, such as on highways. When cars are restricted to slow and short journeys, DPFs stop regenerating, which can hamper the vehicle’s performance. DPF repairs can also be costly.
““For petrol vehicles in Australia and New Zealand, Cataclean’s ability to clean oxygen (02) sensors and boost the smooth running of engines is another selling-point. O2 sensors detect if the fuel/oxygen ratio is correct, which also impacts on fuel consumption.”
He said the majority of enquires in these markets are generally from owners of older cars (three years and older). However owners of newer vehicles also want to keep their vehicles well-maintained.
“Motorists’ awareness of engines and exhaust systems has risen through the use of sensors in modern cars, which trigger dashboard fault lights to illuminate when maintenance or repair is needed,” he said.
“Cataclean is an easy-to-use, great value solution to all these costly problems.”
