Alemlube hoist success story

-

Alemlube Automotive’s all new AA45CFS2P 4.5 tonne clear floor two-post hoist has been an instant success due to a number of initiatives and design features not previously seen on a two-post hoist operating in New Zealand.

Alemlube says it has worked closely with the manufacturer in developing, testing and bringing to the market a hoist that is big on features, big on safety and at the right price.

The AA45CFS2P is a screw (spindle) type hoist, the real benefit of which is that the carriages (lift arms) can be raised and lowered to any desired position, not just a manufactured predetermined position that may place a vehicle at an inconvenient height for practical or safe working practices.

This can be achieved without the need to engage a safety mechanism and lower the carriages onto safety stops, as is the case with hydraulic hoists.

This operational benefit is especially helpful and useful when mechanics are working on transmissions for example where small incremental hoist height adjustments are required to place a vehicle at an accurate working level.

Safety in the workplace is of major importance today and the AA45CFS2P 4.5 tonne clear floor twopost hoist R&D has addressed these concerns by conducting extensive research and consequent design and manufacturing implementation of vital safety systems to protect both the operator from injury as well as the hoist and vehicle from damage.

Unique features built into the AA45CFS2P make this hoist hard to ignore and give it the edge when weighing up and comparing the many to choose from on the market. These features and therefore positive benefits come standard with the AA45CFS2P, that may be optional extras (at additional cost) with the competition, and include: LED lights built into the hoist arms automatically activate when the hoist carriages rise 500mm above the ground. Can be programmed to stop at any desired lifting height. Ideal for installation in workshops with low roof restrictions by simply modifying (cutting to suit) the two upright metal cable conduits. Flexibility of overall hoist widths from 3100mm to 3600mm, allowing installation in tighter spaces or at the widest installation enabling servicing for larger vehicles. Fast ratchet lifting pads on all four lifting arms (especially useful for 4WDs and light commercial vehicles) in addition to left pad extensions that slip into the ratchet lifting pads. Posts sit at 45 degrees to the vehicle, allowing wider opening of vehicle doors when between the hoist posts. A digital information screen on the control box displays ‘Hoist Service,’ alerting the operator to contact Alemlube and arrange the service to adhere to the maintenance schedule. Impressive lifting time of 30 seconds to full height and descent time of 35 seconds. Easily adjustable quickarms and screw platforms. Lower maintenance costs – lift nuts and safety nuts can be changed in 30 minutes without having to disassemble the carriage or lay down the post to perform the maintenance. Further to these state of the art features, operator safety has been enhanced by several automatically activated functions: Automatic cut out if any object is detected under the carriage of the hoist when lowering. The lowering is automatically stopped at 400mm above the floor. The down button must then be pressed by the operator to complete the carriage descent which is accompanied by an audible alarm. Automatic self-levelling of carriages should they misalign by 15mm. And as a further safeguard, the hoist will then shut down completely if an unlikely misalignment of 80mm is experienced. Alemlube Automotive says the AA45CFS2P 4.5 tonne clear floor two-post hoist is clearly the new heavyweight champion of the workshop, and says the hoist meets and exceeds all the design regulations and requirements.
