KYB widens Skorched 4’s range

KYB, one of the world’s biggest makers of shock absorbers, is setting a scorching pace with the expansion of its Skorched 4’s range.

KYB has continued to focus resources into the developmen­t of new products to satisfy owners of existing four-wheel-drive vehicles who wish to upgrade their suspension without spending a fortune.

“Skorched 4’s are not designed for extreme off-road applicatio­ns,” explains Grant Scheuber, divisional manager for Stocks Auto Parts, the New Zealand KYB distributo­r, they are designed for people who want to improve the performanc­e of theirr suspension with a standard ride height ight set-up or a mild lift of up to 50mm.

Grant says the expanded range means a greater number of vehicleses are now able to take advantage of the Skorched 4’s performanc­e, with the he additions including: Mitsubishi Pajero from 2002 onwards. Nissan Navara D22 2002-05 and Pathfinder 2005 onwards. Toyota Hilux 2005 onwards, Prado 1996–2003. Toyota Land Cruiser 200 Series from 2001 onwards. Ford Territory is now covered with the Excel-G range. Skorched 4’s were developed in Australia, around the King Springs heavy-duty 4WD range of coil and leaf springs, which are also distribute­d throughout New Zealand by Stocks AutoParts.

The twin-tube, gas-filled shock absorbers are made to heavy-duty specificat­ions and are engineered to provide superior handling and control in both off-road and on-road driving.
