Diagnostics

-

Vehicles that are over seven years, or older, have integrated technology now considered redundant for most automotive manufacturers. The speed this technology is developing is on par with the ever-changing world of fashion. The humble car is getting a make-over which is far less mechanical focused but rather greater efficiency, ergonomics and safety is paramount. Often the looks of the car are wrapped inside these focus points.

It’s no wonder that the average mechanic is literally learning about newly-adopted technology as they pull apart the car for repairs. The time it takes to diagnose and carry out successful repairs increases as any new technology fault needs to be understood and then diagnosed and repaired or replaced. The customer often does not realise a great deal of mechanics is often behind the automotive technology curve, and some are possibly more than 10 – 15 years behind.

Setting aside the time and motivation to learn about any new automotive systems can be daunting. However, like most things the effort is well worth it. The best automotive technicians always make the effort in keeping up to date with training and acquiring knowledge and a professional level of understanding on any new automotive technology. They know this keeps them ahead of other automotive repair providers by improving customer satisfaction and keeping them coming back.

We have over the years carried out a range of training solutions to the automotive industry. We have avoided classroom-style training as often this is just a regurgitation of what is available on the Internet anyway.

But some mechanics and technicians benefit from sitting in a class for a day or two, and learn about various automotive topics and diagnostic technology available. We have been asked many times to carry out similar training. What we are considering offering is a Launch scan tool training evening which will include topics such as Introduction to Launch scanners, matching you to a Launch scanner (bring yours with you,) basic handling of your scan tool, diagnostic tips and fast repair solutions.

Would you like training with that?

At LaunchTech we pride ourselves as professional automotive technicians, and each of us has actually had more than 25 years real hands-on industry experience repairing and providing diagnostics services to the automotive industry.

We don’t just sell scanners, we have had our own workshops. We don’t sell parts, or pretend to know. If we don’t know, we will try to put you in contact with someone who will know. Over the past nine years as the original fully-authorised factory trained Launch distributor, we have been asked when can we provide real training.

We are looking for interest, initially to the introduction to Launch scanners. Focusing on how to save time and make money.

Remember time is money! Other training will be available after we have completed this training course. A scope course may be available for intermediate to advanced users, and maybe even hybrid and EV training. A certificate will be given on completion.

Please email us directly support@ launchnz.co.nz to register interest and we will be in touch. WE will need a minimum of 15 to begin training. Costs and details on application. Discounts given to all previous LaunchTech NZ customers.
