Welcome to the March issue of Motorhomes, Caravans & Destinations magazine.
You may have noticed that this month’s issue is a week later than expected. With the recent Covid cases in Auckland, we decided to delay our printing schedule by a week to let the situation unfold a bit more. This allowed the organisers and exhibitors of the Covi Motorhome, Caravan & Outdoor Supershow time to confirm the details that we’ve included in this month’s show visitor guide.
As we go to print, the show is still expected to continue as planned over the weekend of 19-21 March. We’ve got our fingers firmly crossed that it can go ahead safely. The show organisers will provide updates, including any postponement details, on the show website, supershow.co.nz.
Please also take note, our delayed print schedule will affect the sale date of our April issue, which will now be on sale on 8 April. From May, we’ll be back to our usual on-sale date of the first Thursday of each month.
IN THIS ISSUE…
As mentioned, this month we’ve included a visitor guide to the Covi Supershow, taking place from 19 to 21 March at the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland (see page 83). We’ve also got a great selection of travel stories from around the country, including Tongariro, Rotoroa Island, and my recent visit to Hanmer Springs ... a spot I can definitely recommend! I enjoyed reading Jackie’s column this month. She shares her thoughts on how we, as a motorhoming community, can take the time to leave each spot we visit in a better state than we found it. It’s a great philosophy and one that can make a real difference if we all do our part.
