The team at The Difference Catering & Events are producing some incredible menus from their food production facility in St Johns, Auckland. Their highly experienced team is led by owners, Stephanie and Philip Reynolds and boasts a cumulative 86 years experience.
Stephanie began her career in food some 20 years ago, gaining valuable experience at 5-star establishments in the UK, including The Regent Hotel London. Philip spent 12 years in London and Europe perfecting his craft in establishments such as Marco-Pierre White’s Michelin-starred L’Escargot where he headed up the Picasso Room. On his return to Auckland, his role at Otto’s saw him preparing comprehensive menus for international clients such as Moet & Chandon, Cognac Martell and Brown Brothers. He even headed up Fonterra’s Food Services where he was in charge of new product concept and development!
The Difference works with some of Auckland’s leading venues, from lodges and retreats, to galleries, yacht clubs and other dedicated wedding and function facilities. However, they’ve been known to set up in a paddock, on the beach or at your private home.

Whether you’ve asked them to produce muffins for your hen’s party or a silver service degustation menu, you can guarantee that the food will be of the finest quality. They take pride in every single dish that leaves their kitchen!
Another “difference” is that they offer either a prep-and-drop service – perfect if you’re having a more intimate occasion and don’t want serving staff on hand. They can also provide you with Champagne, Methodes, wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks – one more thing to tick off your To Do list!
