What do you love about Kiwi women’s approach to hair styling?

It’s relaxed and beautiful.

What is your top tip for how to make our hair look great with just a minute to spare – think of busy mums?

Master the ponytail. It’ll be the best foundation for a cute upstyle or the saviour you need to look slick and sharp in 60 seconds flat.

Tell us about your favourite styling trick using VS Sassoon Curl Secret and how we can achieve it?

My favourite thing to do with the VS Sassoon Curl Secret is the Hollywood wave. It takes the guesswork out of how to curl your hair.

How to achieve it:

Your sections need to be approximately ½ to one inch, and the aim is to get each section as curly as possible so that when you get to the brushing out step there is room for the curl to relax. Use heat setting number 2 and time for 12 seconds to achieve this. Once all your hair is curled and each section has been allowed to cool, simply brush through your hair using a soft bristle brush and smooth a small amount of pomade/serum over your hair - it will fall into the waves almost by itself.

Any tips for how to best store the product and help it to retain its quality for longer?

This is going to sound simple but the best place to start to ensure the longevity of your product is to keep it off the bathroom bench when you’re not using it. This will lessen the chance of it ending up on the floor! Secondly, instead of wrapping the electrical cord around the product, simply fold the cord up in a circle and then wrap a piece of Velcro tape around the centre to form a figure 8 (like how it looked when you first took it out of the box). This stops the cord of being damaged or pulling out of the base of the product.

What is your favourite thing about the product?

My favourite thing about the VS Sassoon Curl Secret is the fact that there is finally a curling appliance that enables you to get a beautiful consistent curl and doesn’t leave fishhooks on the ends of your hair.
