Healthy, well-thy, wise
We round up our latest NADIA wellness and yoga events
Winter wellness was the hot topic of the day at our sell-out
NADIA Mind, Body and Soul events held at the picturesque Boatshed in Wellington and the urbane Generator offices in Auckland’s Wynyard Quarter.
Although both occasions were blessed with sunny skies, readers still had cooler weather on their minds and welcomed a 40-minute, energy-boosting yoga session led by wellness practitioner Kelly Watt to get the blood pumping. After generating some soul-warming chi, it was time to hit the mat for a guided meditation before afternoon tea was served. Readers mixed and mingled with the
NADIA team as they enjoyed fruit platters with chia pots, banana bread with pineapple curd, and labneh with pesto and sourdough, all served with an assortment of delicious teas.
Next up was the interactive workshop session with Nadia and our resident naturopath, Annaliese Jones, who took a practical approach to winter wellness by demonstrating how easy it is to make a simple pesto using greens from the garden, along with an array of herbal tonics that can help boost immunity.
This led nicely to our panel discussion with Nadia, Kelly and Annaliese answering questions on topics ranging from sleep tips for new mums to how to treat hormonal teenage skin, and what supplements are the best to take (or do we even need them?). Meanwhile, Nadia’s fresher-than-fresh pesto was passed around so everyone could snack to their hearts’ content. It was the perfect end to a perfect day filled with everything needed to create that well-thy life we all strive for.
Much gratitude goes to our lovely event sponsors, Dole, Yoplait, Aveeno and Ti Ora, and a big thank you to Eco Yoga Store for the use of their sensational yoga mats, and to Awesome Inc for providing readers with their own gratitude journals to take away with them. And, of course, the biggest shout-out goes to all our inspirational readers who came along and made both days so special.
