Nadia - - ADVENTURE -

This mini Manawatu abode gives new meaning to the phrase ‘smalltown living’. Owners Keith and Jen Lovelock restored the 1880s pump house and fitted it with a loft bed, kitchenette, bathroom, potbelly fire and a vintage Ericsson telephone so you can call your hosts if need be. While it’s not off the grid, there’s no wifi and very little cell reception, so “you still have to switch back a century” during your stay, says Keith. For something totally different, there’s also a cute yellow submarine to stay in on the property, cleverly restored by Keith from “old junk”.
