Jazz trio to perform at Paisley

Veteran NZ jazz drummer Mark Lockett teams up with 2018 Tui Best Jazz Artist Award winner Umar Zakaria on bass and guitarist Brad Kang, an alumni of the Grammy-winning University of North Texas One O’Clock Lab Band.

The triple-threat trio presents a collection of originals from their various groups reimagined for the guitar-bassdrums setting, featuring the premiere of a new original suite Nusantara Sun — inspired by the landscape of the Malay Archipelago in Southeast Asia.
