Club holds swap meet

-

The Hawke’s Bay Vintage Car Club is holding an automotive swap meet this Sunday, May 9 at the Meeane Speedway.

The public are invited to bring any automotive parts along they would like to sell or come along to purchase parts, says Hawke’s Bay Vintage Car Club chairman and swap meet co-ordinator Steve Donovan.

“This is our first swap meet since we have taken over from the Marineland Hot Rod Club who held this event combined with their Hot Rod Festival Weekend which has been a great success over many years.”

Gates open at 7am for swappers and 8am to the public.

“This is a fund raising event for our club as with the impact of Covid many events have been cancelled. We have a membership of 350 members who are mostly retired and we do not wish to raise our subs.”
