Medal winner lecture

The 2011 Rutherford Medal winner, Professor Christine Winterbourn, will visit Nelson next week. Prof Winterbourn will give a free lecture called ‘‘Life with Oxygen’’ as part of the 2012 New Zealand Rutherford Lectures. She will discuss the development of free radical production and health problems that can arise when antioxidant defence is inadequate. The lecture is open to the public and will be at the Suter Theatre on Tuesday, July 10 at 7pm.
