Economics ‘bunk’

-

Your cartoon of the 9th shows the Reserve Bank Governor crashing a car. Car drivers are now being replaced by robots. The governor’s job should be replaced by a computer program.

If economics is a science and whatever adjustments the governor makes has any scientific justification then what he does should be able to be done by a good algorithm. If not then it becomes a matter of an individual’s whim.

Skeptics like me think that economics is religious bunk and not scientific. If economics was a science it would be admitted that their theories have failed and it is time to dump the theory they work on and get another one.

Economists who failed to predict the global financial crisis of 2008 should be dumped and sued with malpractice suits.
