All Whites striker Chris Wood’s stocks continue to soar in England where he has been voted the Championship’s player of the month for January. The result was announced yesterday and is just reward for the 25-yearold who is in prolific form for Leeds United in English football’s second division. Wood scored six goals in four Championship games in January. The monthly award, part of the Professional Footballer’s Association process, is voted on by fans.
