Why secrecy?

On Tuesday the CEO and our mayor made the decision to exclude the public from deliberations on funding the Brook Waimarama Sanctuary. The reason that was given by the CEO was that the trust’s financial position was being discussed.

One could imagine that if we had another sanctuary on the other side of town that this information might be commercially sensitive but we don’t.
