‘Baby sisters’ win gold

The Black Ferns led the celebrations as New Zealand’s next generation of women’s sevens stars won gold at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires. The New Zealand under-18s team beat France 15-12 in the gold medal match yesterday as Mahina Paul sealed victory with a late try at the Games in Argentina. New Zealand went through the tournament unbeaten after wins against Tunisia, Colombia, France, Canada and Kazakhstan in pool play and Black Ferns star Sarah Goss posted a clip of their team celebrating the young side’s triumph in Argentina. ‘‘When your Baby Sisters win the Youth Olympic Gold Medal... So damn proud of these girls,’’ Goss said on Instagram.
