Fan to be disinvited

-

The New England Patriots have identified the fan who threw a beer at Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill and say the person ‘‘will be sent a letter of disinvite to all future events at Gillette Stadium’’. Patriots fans let Hill have it with both barrels after he scored the game-tying touchdown late in Monday’s wild game in New England, in the end a 43-40 win to the Patriots. First, one fan threw beer in Hill’s face as his cruising speed carried him out of the end zone and into the padding covering the stands. In case the message was lost on him, several fans with end zone seats then flipped him off. The ugly display quickly captured social media conversation. ‘‘Fans need to chill before somebody get hurt! You don’t have to like the opposing team but you need to show respect or don’t go!’’ former NFL running back Reggie Bush tweeted.
