Dixon pays for mishap

-

Amishap during practice has left Kiwi IndyCar star Scott Dixon to start from 13th on the grid at the latest race at Road America, Wisconsin, today. The six-time series winner, and defending champion, lost 15 minutes of track time during morning practice yesterday due to needing repairs on the chassis undertray of his Honda after he ran over debris on a fast, sweeping corner. The 40-year-old Chip Ganassi Racing driver rallied in the final practice after qualifying, ending up second overall, but will face a stiff ask to work his way to the front of the race field. Fellow Kiwi Scott McLaughlin will start from 17th, while claiming pole position was his Team Penske team-mate Josef Newgarden.
