Ex-Springbok killed

Former Springbok Pedrie Wannenburg has been killed in a car crash in Texas. The 41-yearold, whowas living in Texas, died in hospital from injuries sustained in a multi-vehicle crash caused by a car trying to evade a police chase in Houston. American news reports said the 16-year-old suspect crashed into the back of Wannenburg’s car near an intersection. The former Bulls, Ulster, Castres and Oy0nnax No 8 was flown to hospital where he died. His son, Francois, was also in hospital, but wife Evette and daughter Isabelle were not seriously hurt.
