House badly damaged

A fire on Sunday night caused extensive damage to a home on Aniseed Valley Rd at Hope. Fire and Emergency NZ shift manager Andrew Norris said crews from Richmond and Brightwater were initially called about 11.40pm. After finding the single-storey house ‘‘well involved’’, further crews from Nelson and Wakefield attended, along with a tanker from Motueka. Everyone had escaped the house and the fire was not considered suspicious.
