SBW confirms fight talks

Sonny Bill Williams has confirmed talks have begun over a potential fight with YouTube star turned professional boxer Jake Paul. The prospect of that fight emerged after Williams’ devastating first round knockout of Australian Rules legend Barry Hall in Sydney last month. Paul included Williams on a hit list of potential boxing opponents that included boxers Floyd Mayweather, Oscar de la Hoya, and Tommy Fury, along with former UFC champions Michael Bisping and Anderson Silva. ‘‘I’m maybe looking at August, getting back in the ring,’’ Williams told Nine and Stan Sport’s Nick McArdle.
