Sun lotion brand Sun Bum has recalled a product specifical­ly for babies after low levels of benzene were found. On a website specifical­ly for the recall, it said Sun Bum recently identified two lot codes of Baby Bum Mineral SPF50+ Lotion, AUST L 355134 supplied in Australia and New Zealand that potentiall­y contained benzene levels above the allowable amount.

Health risks are very low. ‘‘It is not an ingredient in this product and may have been unintentio­nally introduced during the manufactur­ing process,’’ it said. It affected the 88mL, LOT# N1118B and LOT# N1118C EXP 04/2024, AUST L 355134 sold at pharmacy and speciality stores from August 2021 to April 2022.
