Southee outdoes Boult

Tim Southee starred in the Indian Premier League, gaining bragging rights against Black Caps’ newball bowling partner Trent Boult. Southee nabbed 2-46 from his four overs as his Kolkata Knight Riders won by seven wickets against Boult’s Rajasthan Royals yesterday. It continued an impressive IPL for Black Caps’ veteran Southee, who has captured 10 wickets at an average of 15.70. The Knight Riders restricted the Royals to 152-5 from their 20 overs with captain Sanju Samson top-scoring with 54. Kolkata chased down their target with five balls to spare, winning by seven wickets.
