Answer sought from Fury
The World Boxing Council will contact its heavyweight champion Tyson Fury this week to clarify his plans for the future. Fury has reiterated his intention to retire after his recent sixth round knockout of fellow Brit Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium left the giant 33-year-old unbeaten. ‘‘The WBC will be communicating with Tyson Fury and his promoters about his future plans in the coming week,’’ WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman said. ‘‘We are ready to support him on whatever he decides. If he decides to retire the WBC will fully support him.’’
