272 new cases
New Covid-19 cases in the top of the south have fallen again slightly, the Ministry of Health reported yesterday.
The ministry recorded 272 new cases of the virus in Nelson-Marlborough yesterday, down on the 282 cases it reported on Wednesday and 339 on Tuesday. Seven people with Covid-19 were also in hospital in Nelson-Marlborough, up on the six people in hospital on Wednesday. There are 1794 active cases in the top of the south.
Nelson Marlborough Health, which has slightly different figures because of different reporting times, recorded 289 new cases of Covid-19 yesterday. These included 98 in Nelson, Richmond 46, Motueka/Moutere 31, Golden Bay 12, other areas of Tasman 9, Blenheim 60, Picton 7 and other areas of Marlborough 15.
