Briscoes recalls Zip sandwich press

Briscoes has recalled two Zip sandwich presses over fears they could cause an electric shock. In a social media post Briscoes said it had issued a product safety recall of the Zip 2 Slice Sandwich Press and the Zip 4 Slice Sandwich Press. ‘‘Due to a manufacturing defect, live parts inside the appliance may come into contact with the metal enclosure, posing a potential risk of electric shock during use,’’ it said. The presses were sold in stores and online. ‘‘We encourage customers to cease using this product immediately and return to any Briscoes store for a full refund.’’
