Phoenix lure Fern home

Wellington Phoenix have lured another Football Fern home ahead of next year’s Women’s World Cup after freeing up an extra spot on the roster for a bonus New Zealand signing. Forward Emma Rolston has signed with the Phoenix for the upcoming A-League Women season after spending the best part of nine years playing overseas in Australia, Germany and most recently Norway. The 12-cap international is the fifth player from New Zealand’s Tokyo Olympics squad to sign with the Phoenix, joining Football Ferns regulars Betsy Hassett and Paige Satchell and the uncapped Marisa van der Meer and Michaela Robertson.
