AB Sevens crash out

The All Blacks Sevens endured a horror opening to the new World Series season, missing the quarterfinals in Hong Kong after a 24-17 loss to Australia on Saturday night. Having finished their Covid-shortened campaign last season on a high with victory in the final round in Los Angeles, the New Zealand men far from started where they left off, with it just the second time ever – and now the second in four outings – they have failed to advance to the knockout stage of a World Series tournament, following last year’s unwanted slice of history in Toulouse.
