Former Mrs Mac’s owner owes $2.4m
The company that until recently operated the Mrs Mac’s pie brand in New Zealand has gone into liquidation. Lyall Holdings was put into liquidation last week, along with its Australian parent company, and Grant Thornton’s David Ruscoe and Mark McDonald were appointed joint liquidators. The company traded as Mrs Mac’s (NZ) until late last month. In their first report, released on Wednesday, the liquidators said the company’s records indicated there were more than 30 unsecured creditors owed an estimated
$2.4 million. Its total assets were listed at $1.6m. But Australian media reported earlier in the week that Aus Pie Co had bought the company and a new New Zealand subsidiary, Mrs Mac’s NZ, had been incorporated.
