Ranger Raptor pricing
Ten speed transmission, biturbo 2.0-litre diesel engine, Fox suspension and all: the new Raptor version of Ford’s blockbuster Range utility will cost $84,990 off the showroom floor. This may be Ford New Zealand’s most ‘off-roadable’ vehicle yet. Its 10-speed automatic transmission has magnesium paddle shifters. It directs drive through a unique six-mode Terrain Management System (TMS), which includes low and high range four-wheel drive and a locking rear-differential. The long travel suspension features specially-tuned and valved Fox Shox, aluminium upper and lower control arms, heavy duty skid-plates and underbody protection. Water wading capability is increased to an impressive 850mm. Ford New Zealand’s off-road version of the Ranger was revealed in Thailand in February and goes on sale here this month at a cool $15,350 premium over the current flagship of the Ranger line-up, the Wildtrak.
