Ssangyong sharpens Korando pricing
Ssangyong’s strongest selling SUV, the Korando, is set to shake up the highly competitive C-segment SUV sector with a new, reduced price-point it says is sure to put the Korando on the shopping list of any prospective buyer of a new medium-sized SUV. With factory assistance and an aim to increase sales of the already popular model, local Ssangyong distributor, Great Lake Motor Distributors (GLMD), has reduced the price of the entry-level Korando Sport to just $25,790 plus on road costs, a price which GLMD believes will make the Korando hard for buyers to ignore. The Korando Sport is powered by a 110kw/197nm 2.0 petrol engine, has a six-speed automatic transmission, a seven-inch display screen, high resolution reversing camera, Bluetooth phone and music connectivity. “Our brand has proved itself in the New Zealand market by offering stylish, safe and reliable vehicles at an affordable price. With the latest offer, we truly believe the Korando is the most competitively priced SUV on the market in New Zealand today,” says GLMD managing director, Deon Cooper. “With a five-year, 100,000km fully-transferable, factory-backed warranty, six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorages and a high-level of specification, we’re delighted to be able to offer such a wellequipped, great value-for-money package at a time where buyers are well-informed and seeking both quality and affordability. “Rarely does a vehicle offer so much for so little, but we are happy that we have really hit the sweet spot by offering this package at this price” he says.
