Mitsubishi charging into number three spot
Just one month after the release of the new 19MY Outlander PHEV, Mitsubishi Motors NZ’S market leading plug-in hybrid SUV has recorded its highestever monthly sales figure. The PHEV is part of the success story with the new Outlander PHEV priced $8,000 below the preceding model at $55,990 plus on-road costs. MMNZ Chief Operating Officer Daniel Cook attributed the new model’s lower price point as a key factor for increased customer uptake, alongside rising fuel costs and an expanding national network of charging stations. “Outlander PHEV has led its class since its release in 2014; in our latest edition, we wanted to make the PHEV even more accessible to Kiwis looking to embrace this alternative technology,” said Cook. “We are very pleased to have been able to do that and it is extremely rewarding to see more customers enjoying the benefit.” Outlander PHEV has an electric range of 54km and a combined range of over 600km. DC Fast Charge capability can recharge the battery from 0 to 80 percent in around 20 minutes.
