Great Wall Motors has released images of the new adventure ute, scheduled for introduction into Australia and NZ next year.

The ute adopts GWM’S new “tough truck” design direction, incorporating single bar grille, high penetration LED headlights and carbon black wheel arches. The rear also features LED taillights, extended spor ts bar and specially designed tailgate for off- road bike enthusiasts.

This new adventure model will feature a built- in front winch, triple diff locks and a seven-setting All Terrain Control System, which combined, offer segment leading 4WD capabilities and 900mm fording depth.

Hot off the back of the first pictures of Great Wall Motor’s ( GWM) next generation “adventure” and 500km range EV Ute, GWM has released its first interior pictures of the “urban” ute destined for global markets including Australia and New Zealand.

The up- market interiors are a new design direction for GWM by combining the quality, refinement and comfor t of premium family SUVS with the off- road and load carrying capabilities of trucks.

The family orientated “urban” model is designed to create an intimate driving environment with the use of monotone surrounds and contrasting jacquard texture seats and door inserts.

The design of driver instrumentation cluster is simple and concise and is set within a leather, deep- dish steering wheel with a compact airbag housing. The central nine- inch touchscreen operates voice recognition, infotainment, electronic dipstick and the climate control system. The new ute will also feature push button star t, mobile phone interconnection and remote vehicle star t function.

On the “urban” model, GWM has adopted the German engineered ZF eight-speed auto with four driving modes: Auto, Economy, Sport and 4 Low and an electric/auto park brake system.

The new gearshift is a shor t throw, shiftless Park system as seen on European vehicles and the HAVAL H9.
