Škoda introduces standard five-year warranty

-

The fastest growing European car brand in New Zealand has introduced a comprehensive five-year warranty as standard across the range.

Every new ŠKODA sold is now covered by a five-year / 150,000km (whichever comes first) factory warranty.

With some of the most fuelefficient models in the market, and a focus on making every journey a little better with Simply Clever design, it’s no surprise that the Škoda range is one of the most awarded in New Zealand.

Now, with the introduction of a five-year / 150,000km warranty across the range, Škoda enhances its competitive advantage within the mainstream market.

Most importantly, the new five-year warranty is a show of commitment to Kiwi families; promising peace of mind and an exceptional driving experience, from the undulating roads around the Catlins to the sleepy beachfront

streets of the far North.

Škoda regularly tops the charts in reliability surveys both in

New Zealand and in Europe, most recently at home with the 2018 Consumer NZ Reliability survey which found that 93 percent of Škoda owners would recommend buying a Škoda to their friends and family.

That makes Škoda the second most recommended car brand in New Zealand. Further afield, the 2018 JD Power Reliability survey saw Škoda achieve the fourth most dependable car brand in the UK.

Škoda First Assist roadside assistance is included and extended to five-years as part of the new vehicle warranty package, meaning that in the unlikely event that you should have a breakdown, run out of fuel or puncture a tyre, anywhere in New Zealand, Škoda will send someone to get you up and running again – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

“We have great confidence in the quality of the Škoda range, and our new five-year warranty reflects that. Last year Škoda grew at the fastest rate we’ve ever grown,” says Greg Leet, general manager Škoda NZ.

“Much of that success is down to listening to Kiwi families and providing what they want. Kiwi car owners are rightly focused on reliability and peace of mind. With the pace of life speeding up, Škoda wanted to provide assurance that we won’t let you down.”

Every new Škoda comes with a new vehicle warranty, a paint warranty, and a through corrosion warranty in relation to the main steel body structure of the vehicle. Škoda genuine parts and accessories also come with separate warranties.

The new vehicle warranty is for five-years with 150,000 kilometres. The following exceptions apply:

• The through corrosion warranty is for 12 years with unlimited kilometres.

• Engine starting batteries have a five-year unlimited kilometre warranty.

• The paint warranty is for three years with unlimited kilometres.

• The warranty for Škoda genuine parts and accessories fitted:

• On your new Škoda vehicle at the time it is first delivered to you is five-years unlimited kilometres from the date of delivery; or

• After your new Škoda vehicle has been delivered to you is two years unlimited kilometres from the date of purchase.

The Kia Stinger has been awarded the inaugural J. D. Power Engineering award for its advanced engineering and customer appeal after being judged streets ahead of the competition.

The rear-wheel- drive Stinger earned the Highest- Rated All- New Vehicle award at a special ceremony in Detroit.

The significance of the award is not lost on Todd Mcdonald, Managing Director of Kia Motors New Zealand, who says the Stinger ranks as one of the most exciting cars he has driven and it fully deserves this and other accolades bestowed on it.

“Regardless of your motoring needs the Stinger is a hugely rewarding drive and it’s a source of great pride to all of us involved with Kia,” he says.

Powering the Kia Stinger is the choice of a twin-turbocharged V6 engine GT model that delivers a blistering 0-100km/ h acceleration in just 4.7 seconds and a turbocharged two- litre model, capable of 0-100km/ h in 6.0 seconds flat.

The Kia Stinger is on sale in New Zealand from a recommended

$ 54,990 plus on- road costs, including free servicing for the first four years or 40,000 kilometres, as well as a fiveyear/100,000km warranty and 24-hour roadside assistance package.
