Turners takes on Fleetpartners remarketing of lease vehicles
Building on an already existing business relationship, Fleetpartners NZ and Turners Auto Retail division have formally developed and announced a lease retail partnership arrangement.
This arrangement has seen Fleetpartners close its retail and wholesale divisions – Autoselect and E-tender – with Turners picking up the remarketing of Fleetpartner’s end of lease vehicles.
This is an expansion of a preexisting arrangement between the two companies with benefits to both.
Russell Webber, managing director, Fleetpartners, says, “Outsourcing the sale of our end of lease vehicles will allow us to focus on our core business of vehicle leasing to NZ businesses. As our customers are located all around the country, Turners are well placed to remarket our ex-lease vehicles through their 30 branches nationwide. The NZ public will gain more access to our premium and well-maintained vehicles coming off lease.”
Greg Hedgepeth, Turners
Auto Retail Division CEO said in a statement, “We’ve come a long way in the last few years in developing our retail capabilities. Fleetpartners appointing us to handle all their retail remarketing is a great recognition of all the work and investment that has gone into our Retail Optimisation strategy: transforming Turners from a predominantly auction based operation 10 years ago, into what we are today – a multichannel operation with a high performing retail channel.”
Turners has a strategic roadmap in place that will further develop its network, personnel, data capabilities, technology and operational systems to further enhance the partnership.
Both organisations are working together to find opportunities to redeploy Autoselect staff within Fleetpartners and Turners around the country.
We are confident that we offer the best solution for the remarketing of lease vehicles in NZ. We’ll continue to work hard to make sure we maximise Fleetpartners remarketing results – in what we believe will be a long and profitable partnership for both organisations.”
