BYD breaks out

The BYD Atto 3 has officially landed in New Zealand and the showrooms are running red hot with orders.

Out of China, the BYD brand is now recognised as the World’s top selling NEV manufacturer, with sales of 641,530, up a colossal 315 percent compared to the YTD figures for 2021.

“This is extraordinary timing, when we have just landed the first of our BYD ATTO 3 vehicles in New Zealand,” says Warren Willmot, BYD New Zealand’s Brand Manager.

“The uptake from our local customers of this exciting new product has far surpassed initial expectations, with pre-sales almost selling out the first shipment. This is largely due to BYD cementing its leading position globally in the NEV industry.

“It is very encouraging to see this amount of interest at the beginning of BYD’S journey in NZ and we can’t wait to see how the brand continues to expand and grow.”

Probably the only auto distributor to be able to deliver on the promise of customer uptake, BYD New Zealand is ready to deliver pre-ordered vehicles to its customers by the end of this month with more vehicles on the way to keep up with demand.

Despite a good supply of vehicles headed our way, prospective buyers touch base with their local dealer as soon as possible.

Pricing for the all-electric ATTO 3 starts at $52,990 for the standard range and tops out at $57,990 for the extended range, plus on road costs.

Both variants are also eligible for the current full EV clean car rebate of $8,625.

The ATTO 3 is also comprehensively covered by a six-year / 150,000km new vehicle warranty with six-year roadside assistance package, while the Blade Battery is covered by an eight-year /160,000km (whichever comes first) warranty.
